Our systems are designed specifically to burn low-calorific domestic coal, lignite, pellets, sawdust, olive pomace, hazelnut shells and many other biomass fuels at high efficiency. Moving grate technology ensures the fuel advances under control while the combustion process is continuously optimised for maximum energy efficiency. 

They can be used in newly built plants and can also be integrated easily into existing steam boilershot water boilershigh temperature hot water boilers and thermal oil boilers

PLC-Controlled Automation

In moving grate systems all equipment is managed by a PLC-based automation system.

The automation system controls;

  • The fuel feed rate
  • The grate travel speed
  • The combustion air
  • The fans
  • The ash removal system
  • The safety equipment

simultaneously, keeping the system running at optimum efficiency at all times.

It reduces operator intervention to a minimum while creating safe and stable operating conditions. 

Combustion Technology

Thanks to the moving grate system, the fuel advances through the combustion zone under control.

With this design;

  • Almost all of the fuel is burned.
  • Unburned coal is prevented from passing into the ash zone.
  • Uniform combustion is achieved.
  • Carbon monoxide (CO) formation is minimised.
  • Flue gas emissions are reduced.
  • Fuel consumption is lowered.
  • Boiler efficiency is increased.

Controlled primary air supplied from beneath the grate is distributed evenly across the entire combustion surface, delivering high combustion performance. 

Safety Systems

IPM Isi Proje Makina moving grate systems are equipped with a multi-layered safety infrastructure.

The system provides safe and uninterrupted operation through;

The pre-furnace structure is manufactured as a special steel construction resistant to high pressure. 

Automatic Ash Removal System

The ash produced in moving grate systems is discharged continuously by the automatic ash removal system.

To reduce dust formation, different solutions such as;

  • Water spray system
  • Water bath system

can be applied.

This both simplifies plant cleaning and reduces environmental emissions.
